Peter Pan is a mischievous young boy who refuses to grow up. He is beautiful with all his first teeth intact. He spends his time in a fantasy island called the Neverland with Tinker Bell and a group of boys called the The Lost Boys. Together they go on adventures and meet fairies, pirates, monsters and sometimes children from the ordinary world outside of Neverland. Currently, they have with them three siblings - Wendy John and Michael -who are having a great time in Neverland.
About the Author
Sir James Matthew Barrie was a Scottish author. He was born on May 9, 1860, in Angus, Scotland. Barrie is most famous as the creator of Peter Pan, a free-spirited young boy who refuses to grow up. His notable works include The Little Minister (1891), Jess (1898) and The Little White Bird (1902). Most of his early works are marked by the Scottish dialect, humour and sentimentality. Barrie also wrote plays even though they were rejected by critics. However, he finally gained success with Quality Street (1901), a four-part comedy and The Admirable Crichon (1902). But Barrie s fame rested with his novel Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn t Grow Up (1904). Barrie was made a baronet by King George V in 1913. He died on June 19, 1937, in London, England.
