Julian Gough is an award winning author of funny stories about serious things. He won theBBC National Short Story Awardin 2007 (when it was the biggest prize in the world for a single short story). He has also been shortlisted, twice, for theEveryman Bollinger Wodehouse Prizefor comic fiction.He represented Ireland inBest European Fiction 2010; won a Pushcart Prize in the US in 2011; and represented Britain inBest British Short Stories 2012.
