Description

Father Bellino is dead. He leaves behind a fascinating work, the DIES IRAE, a mysterious hand-transcribed missal used at his funeral. Father Bellino was a strange man with unusual diabolical interests. The DIES IRAE becomes the bridge between the living world and the world of the dead, and Father Bellino crosses that bridge as he seeks out former earthly acquaintances to be devoured by the flames of hell. Father Dominics goal in life is to avoid evil and to pray -- his ticket to heaven. But he is naive, and he stumbles into a terrifying entanglement with the missal that his late fellow priest left behind. Thomas background is much different. He is intelligent, well educated, worldly and, like Father Bellino, he is interested in the occult and the study of the devil. He is inexplicably drawn to the DIES IRAE. Father Dominic and Thomas realize that the only way to send Father Bellino and his devils back to hell is to perform the rite of exorcism on the missal. But that is not an easy task. Father Bellino is elusive, clever, and cunning&and he has the powers of hell to back him up.
