One of the great American writers, Twain wrote prolifically. His writings include novels, short stories, travelogues, letters, journalistic papers etc. His novels The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn enjoy a special place in world literature. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is usually dubbed as the Great American Novel. Twain was also considered the greatest humorist of his time. He died on 21 April 1910.
