About the Author

Abu Hamid al-Ghazali (d. sos/1111), theologian, logician, jurist mystic, spent much of lecturing Baghdad and the of wandering His most celebrated work, Revival the Religious Sciences, has exercised profound influence Muslim intellectual history by exploring the mystical significance the practices and beliefs Islamic orthodoxy, earning him title Hujjat al the Proof of Islam . Mohammed Rustom is Associate Professor Islamic Studies at Carleton University. He author award-winning book The Triumph Philosophy and Scripture in Mulla Sadra (2012) co-editor of Study Quran: New Translation and Commentary (2015).
