About the Author
A member of the famous English literary trio of Bronte sisters, Emily Jane Bronte (1818-1848) wrote an only novel Wuthering Heights which stands out as one of the most enduring literary works in history. She was also a fine poet. She loved nature and animals. However, she led an overall sedentary life, her closest relationship being with Anne, her younger sister. She died of tuberculosis when she was only 30.
