Dr. Avi Shilon is a historian and columnist at Haaret'z newspaper. Shilon's main research interests are in modern Jewish and Israeli history, with a particular focus on the Zionist right-wing and Israeli politics. His first book, "Menachem Begin: A Life", was published by Yale University press on 2012. His second book, "Ben Gurion, Epilogue" had been published by Am-Oved on 2013. The book explores Ben Gurion's world-view after his retirement. The English edition is due to be published on May 2016 by Rawman & Littlefield unter the title - “Ben Gurion: His Later Years in the Political wilderness". . Shilon is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow at New York University, The Taub Center for Israel Studies.
