About the Author
oyoharu Gotouge (吾峠呼世晴) is a prominent Japanese mangaka best known for creating Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, which became one of the most successful manga and anime franchises in history. Gotouge was born on May 5, 1989, in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, and began their professional career in 2014 with the debut of the manga Kagarigari. This work set the stage for Kimetsu no Yaiba, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2016 to 2020.
The manga gained widespread acclaim for its compelling story, unique characters, and beautiful artwork, selling over 150 million copies worldwide. It has been adapted into a highly popular anime series and movies, including Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, which became the highest-grossing anime film of all time. In 2021, Gotouge was included in TIME magazine's "TIME 100 Next" list, marking them as the first mangaka to achieve this honor
