About the Author

N. W. Collins is the author of Grey Wars (Yale University Press) and the chair of Defense and Security Studies at Columbia University. Dr. Collins has received fellowships and grants from, among others, the University of Chicago, Harvard University, the Rockefeller Foundation, and Yale University.
