About the Author
Anna Buckley is the series producer of The Life Scientific on BBC Radio 4 and author of The Life Scientific: Explorers and The Life Scientific: Inventors. She has worked with the presenter of The Life Scientific, Jim Al-Khalili since the programme was launched in 2011, bringing scientists into conversations that were conventionally reserved for politics and the arts.
At university, she dreamt of being an astrochemist, then tried and failed to save the world, working in overseas aid. After working for the BBC World Service for several years, she migrated back to her first love, science as a communicator and has worked in the BBC Radio Science Unit for twenty years. Her mission is to make cutting edge science, and scientists, accessible to us all.
