About the Author

Ayub Aulia was born on November 16, 1938, in

Gujranwala, Punjab. Ayub Aulia completed his

B.Sc. at Forman Christian College, Lahore. After

that, he completed an Accounts and Computer

science qualification in London England. He learnt

the art of poetry from Maulana Abdul Majeed Salik

and the art of prose writing from Maulana Ghulam

Rasool Mihr.

Ayub Aulia was close to and attended musical events

and festivals of iconic musical artists such as Ustad

Barkat Ali Khan, Mukhtar Begum, Farida Khanum,

Ustads Nazakat Ali and Salamat Ali Khan, Madam Noor Jahan, Mehdi Hassan,

UstadNathoo Khan, Mian Qadir Bakhsh, Ustad Chhotey Ghulam Ali Khan,

Ustad Akhtar Hussain, and Roshan Ara Begum. He met and was intimately

connected with these historic musical personalities.
