About the Author

Sandra Piesik is an architect and founder of 3 ideas Limited, a consultancy specializing in architecture, design, cultural research and technological innovation. She has been a design consultant to Abu Dhabi’s cultural ministry and is the author of Arish: Palm-Leaf Architecture, also published by Thames && Hudson. Her reconstruction of a traditional palm-leaf house in the Gulf was highly commended by the Architectural Review Emerging Architecture Awards.
