About the Author
M.O. Yuksel is the award-winning author of IN MY MOSQUE (HarperCollins, 2021), a lyrical picture book that celebrates the joys and traditions found in mosques around the world. IN MY MOSQUE has won several awards, including American Library Association Notable Book, School Library Journal Best Book, Junior Library Guild Gold Standard selection, Cooperative Children’s Book Center 2022 Best Choice, Notable Books for a Global Society, Anna Dewdney Honor Book, 2022 English Association Nonfiction Picture Book Award, Texas Library Association Texas Topaz Nonfiction Gem Award, and Virginia Readers Choice Award.
