Mr. Muhammad Farooq is working as a faculty member and Faculty Industry Liaison Officer (FILO) at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Central Punjab (UCP), Lahore. He is also working as a Patron of the Antinarcotics Society at UCP. For the last sixteen years, he has been teaching sociology in renowned public and private sector universities and possesses vast experience in administration. He has been part of several research projects funded by the World Bank, the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, and the World Food Program. He has presented many papers at International and national conferences in Pakistan. He is also the author of several research papers published in Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized journals. His research interests include climate change, social stratification, sociology of the family, socio-economic development, crime and criminal justice system, human rights, health, and aging. He has also received his M.Phil. (with distinction) and Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of the Punjab, Lahore.

About the Author
Farooq is editorial board member of international research journals and is editor-in-chief of ISI-listed journal International Journal of Agriculture and Biology. He has edited and co-edited seven books, and authored and co-authored more than 350 research articles and 38 book chapters.
