From the author of the bestselling No Matter What comes another story about Little Owl... and this time he does NOT want to make new friends!

Little Owl doesn t want to play with Small Squirrel. No, no, NO!
He wants to play with his bestest best toy, Hedge.

Besides, friends are no fun, right? Small Squirrel talks too much and eats all the cinnamon buns too.

But what if this new friendship involves adventures with bears and ghosts and all sorts of exciting things? It looks like Little Owl is in for the most fun day EVER!

From the creators of Little Owl s Egg, Little Owl s First Day, Little Owl s Bedtime and Little Owl s Bathtime comes another gloriously heart-warming and imaginative story. Filled with Alison Brown s beautiful artwork, it s perfect for any little ones worried about making friends.

Debi Gliori is the award-winning writer and illustrator of over eighty picture books and novels for children of all ages, including the bestselling modern classic No Matter What (Bloomsbury) and the Mr Bear series (Orchard). She is also author of the Little Owl series of books, illustrated by Alison Brown, for Bloomsbury. Debi lives near Edinburgh and has twice been writer-in-residence in the Shetland Isles. Her favourite colour is blue or, more precisely, four different shades of blue: cerulean blue, cobalt blue, Mediterranean turquoise blue and warm ultramarine blue. She has sold over 600,000 books in the UK alone.

Alison Brown studied Fine Art at Liverpool and then became a graphic designer. She has been illustrating for the past six years, and has illustrated many much-loved books including You Make Me Happy and the Little Owl series by Debi Gliori. Alison was brought up in Bangor, Northern Ireland, but she now lives in Leeds.
