THE HILARIOUSLY RELATABLE DEBUT NOVEL FROM SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER FEARNE COTTON*

‘Just like Fearne Cotton herself, Scripted is life-affirming and deeply compassionate. But it’s also a cleverly conceived and funny novel which asks big questions about what it is to be the author of one’s own fate’ - ELIZABETH DAY, No 1 Sunday Times bestselling author and host of How to Fail

----

Jade Shaw has lost control.

Stuck in the middle of her chaotic family and taken for granted by her self-obsessed boyfriend, Adam, she s forgotten how to speak for herself.

The last place she expects to find answers is on the floor outside her flat. But there it is: a mysterious, untitled script, predicting an infuriating row with Adam.

Later, as if by magic, the scene becomes reality: word for word, line for line, with Adam getting his own way. Then, more scripts appear - scraps of paper predicting scenarios in which Jade s boss, mum, and bridezilla sister call all the shots.

Having been given a sneak peek at her future, Jade knows she needs to rewrite her destiny.

Can she create her own happy ever after?

----

‘An impressive and entertaining debut. All the ingredients for a great read are here: Scripted is fast paced and original, populated by a colourful cast yet delivering a thoughtful theme of finding one s feet and one s voice’ - FREYA NORTH Sunday Times bestselling author of Little Wing

Fearne Cotton is one of the best known and most popular broadcasters in the UK and is most recently known as the Founder of the wellbeing brand, Happy Place. The brand was created from her first book released in 2017, Happy, which was a Sunday Times Bestseller and a silver Nielsen Bestseller. This was the first in a series of books talking about her own, and some of the not so positive, experiences with happiness. This was also the premise for her podcast launched in 2018, Happy Place, and has featured an array of guest such as Ellie Golding, Hilary Rodham Clinton, Jada Pinkett Smith, Gary Barlow, Alicia Keys, and Elizabeth Gilbert amongst others. To date, the podcast has had over 31 million downloads and continues to top the charts. 2019 saw a further extension of the brand into the live space, with over 10,000 people attending two Happy Place Festivals, one in the north and one in the south of England. The Festival went virtual this year, running over a month. Her third cook book, Happy Vegan, was published Autumn last year.

Fearne is a mother of two, and step-mother of two, and closely supports a range of charities - most notably mental health charity Mind, The Prince s Trust and Coppafeel!, the latter of which she curates the charity s music festival, Festifeel.
