About the Author
Nicole Claesen has always loved travel and loves traveling with her husband and two sons. After several years of traveling as a family, she wanted to share their adventures, trip itinerary suggestions, and lessons learned through their travels, and that’s when her website and blog, Suitcase and a Map, was born. It lets her write about family travel and share the magic of seeing the world through the eyes of children.
Emily Greenhalgh is an award-winning science journalist whose work has been featured in USA Today, The Boston Globe, Gizmodo, the World Meteorological Organization, and in science textbooks. She grew up in Rhode Island, staring into tide pools and dreaming about becoming a mermaid. Realizing that wasn’t an actual job, she trained to become a marine biologist and then a science journalist. Now Emily helps scientists tell their stories. She loves discovering what makes research exciting and turning complex science into easy-to-understand ideas.
Candela Ferrández is a freelance illustrator based in Barcelona, Spain. After studying fine arts at Salamanca University, she earned a postgraduate degree in illustration at EINA (Barcelona). Her illustrations have been published by Milan Presse, Éditions Larousse, Fleurus, and Penguin Random House, among others, including those in Fun with 50 States, Fun with National Parks, and Fun with Oceans and Seas.
