A celebration of military families of all kinds, Goodbye, Hello is inspired by author Angela H. Dale’s experiences with her own Navy family. illustrator of NYT bestseller The World Needs More People, Daniel Wiseman's adorable, bright and engeric artwork captures the fun and chaos of big family trips.

Learn about Navy homecoming traditions in the back, along with a fun seek and find game! Can you spot the different modes of travel and all the different workers that make it possible?

Angela H. Dale writes picture books for children, former children and children at heart, including her debut picture book Bus Stop, illustrated by Lala Watkins. Angela worked for a literary agent in Washington, DC, and a book publisher in New York before moving around the world with her family when her husband was in the Navy. Some of the places Angela has lived include Pennsylvania, Texas, California, Florida and Japan, and she has lots of stories she hopes to tell from those times. She lives in Maryland with her family and Harry the cat.

Daniel Wiseman makes books for kids. He has illustrated Don’t Hug Doug by Carrie Finison, My Brother the Duck by Pat Zietlow Miller, The World Needs More Purple People by Kristen Bell and Benjamin Hart, and many more. He lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with his brilliant wife, two rambunctious sons, one teeny tiny daughter, and a shaggy dog. If he’s not perched in his studio drawing, you can find him hiking, hanging at the lake, cooking for his family, or trying to nap.
