About the Author

DR. KAISER H. NASEEM With over 40 years of international experience in banking and finance (26 years with IFC/World Bank Group), I am a global thought leader, disruptor, and innovator with an
entrepreneurial flair, and have conceptualized and developed new financial institutions and business models in challenging environments. My core competencies include New Ventures,
Project Finance, Digital Transformation, Strategy Formulation, MSME Banking, Sustainable Development/Finance, ESG/Climate Risk and Corporate Governance. I am a strategic thinker with strong ethical standards and focus on results. With exceptional business acumen and broad experience on a global stage, as an international development banker I serve on the Board of Directors (BOD) of several international companies and provide strategic advice and mentoring to senior management and business owners. I am currently: (i) a member of the Supervisory Board of Xalq Bank, Uzbekistan; (ii) a member of the Supervisory Board of Bailyk Finance, Kyrgyzstan; (iii) a member of MENA Fintech Association’s Advisory Board, UAE; (iv) a member of Arab Monetary Fund’s (AMF) working group on FinTechs and Digital Banking, UAE; (v) a member of AAOIFI’s working group on MSME Banking and Digital Banking, Bahrain; (vi) a member of the Advisory Board of Advance ESG, USA; (vii) an Independent Director on the Board of Pakistan Institute ofCorporate Governance, Pakistan; and (viii) an Independent Director on the Board of EnginStarter, a metaverse launchpad in UAE.
