About the Author

Liz Smith is one of Britain s favourite character actresses. She is best known for playing Nana in the Royle Family and has had a long career in film and on the stage, working with such directors as Tim Burton, Mike Leigh, Peter Greenaway and Neil Jordan. She lives in north London.
