About the Author

Brit Bildøen (født 28. januar 1962 i Ålesund) er en norsk forfatter og lyriker, oppvokst på Aukra. Bildøen er utdannet som, og har arbeidet som bibliotekar, har studert sosiologi og gått på Skrivekunstakademiet i Hordaland. Hun arbeider nå som forfatter, gjendikter, oversetter, forlagskonsulent og litteraturkritiker, blant annet for Dagbladet fra 1996. Hun har vært medlem av Den norske forfatterforeningens litterære Råd. Hun var i 2001 festspilldikter for Dei nynorske festspela i Ørsta.Bildøen debuterte litterært i 1991 med diktsamlingen «Bilde av menn», og har mottatt flere priser. Hennes roman «Tvillingfeber» (1998) ble dessuten nominert til Brageprisen. Romanen «Alt som er» (2004) ble som den første boken på nynorsk av en kvinnelig forfatter lansert som månedens bok i Bokklubben Nye Bøker.(Source)
