Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara, born in Barcelona, Spain, is a writer and creative director in constant search of new concepts for children s books and the author of the multimillion-copy bestselling Little People, BIG DREAMS series of picture books that explore the lives of outstanding people. Working for more than fifteen years for clients in top advertising agencies, her books combine creativity with learning, aiming to establish a new and fresh relationship between children and pop culture. ?
Anke Weckmann is originally from a small town in northern Germany, and now lives in London. She studied illustration at Camberwell College of Art and Kingston University and works as a freelance illustrator. Her work is hand-inked on paper and digitally coloured. Drawing is her favourite thing to do. Her selected clients include Abrams Books, Channel 4, Die Gestalten Verlag, Frankie magazine, Laurence King Publishing, The Guardian, The Times and Time Out New York.
