About the Author

Elaine Kalman Naves, journalist and author, has written several books on Montreal’s literary history and an award-winning biography of her Hungarian-Jewish paternal family, Journey to Vaja. She is a frequent reviewer and contributor on literary subjects for the Montreal Gazette.
