Description
In The Road to Enlightenment, Yogmata Keiko Aikawa shares her own experiences and the wisdom she’s gained from her forty-five-year study of yoga, meditation, and healing arts. Her hope is that readers will find answers to their questions about how to live a true and happy life in the spirit of love and peace.
Yogmata Keiko Aikawa’s interest in yoga began in Japan when she was in her teens. During the 1970s, she traveled throughout India, visiting countless yoga schools; and then continued her studies in the U.S. and other Western countries for the next decade. In 1985, Aikawa met the legendary master Pilot Baba, who, in turn, introduced her to his teacher, the great sage Hari Baba. She then embarked on an austere and rigorous training program in the Himalayas. It was during this period that Yogmata Keiko Aikawa achieved samadhi, which she describes as "the highest goal of life. It means to reach the essence of the source that brings success to all, such as health, beauty, business, world peace, natural balance, and ultimately complete enlightenment."
For over forty years, Yogmata Keiko Aikawa has dedicated herself to helping humanity by working tirelessly to spread the wisdom and insights she’s gained through her studies. She has set up a foundation to support her work, as well as many charitable causes, and she teaches others the way of peace and love, meditation, and samadhi.
About the Author
Yogmata Keiko Aikawa is the first and only woman, as well as the only foreigner, ever to become a Siddha Master by attaining the ultimate stage of Meditation and Yoga (Samadhi) in the Himalayas. For over 40 years, as an authority on Meditation and Yoga, she has taken an active part in nurturing these practices in Japan.
In 1985, Yogmata Aikawa encountered the legendary Great Master, Hari Baba, and with his guidance, underwent austere training at an altitude of 5,000 to 6,000 meters in the Himalayas. She subsequently attained the ultimate Samadhi, which means taking total control of, and transcending, one’s mind and body, thus becoming One with the source of the universe.
From 1991 to 2007, she performed eighteen public viewings of Samadhi throughout India to attest the truth and promote world peace. In 2007, Yogmata Aikawa received the title "Mahamandaleshwar" (The Supreme Master of the Universe) from the largest spiritual austerities association in India, Juna Akara.
She regularly holds lectures and meditation guidance workshops in many countries all over the world, including the United States.
