About the Author
Richard Whelan was a cultural historian, writer, and editor who published acclaimed biographies about the photographers Robert Capa and Alfred Stieglitz, and books about the Korean War and photography. His titles include Robert Capa: A Biography and Double Take: A Comparative Look at Photographs. He died in 2007.
